Hey, kids, piano lessons make you smarter!
Studies show that music lessons, because there are so many different facets involved–such as memorizing, expressing emotion, learning about musical interval and chords–have profound effect on the child’s IQ and improve academic performance.
The most effective learning occurs with individual attention. Depending on the level and age, the lessons last half hour, forty-five minutes, or an hour.
It is critical to train the ear as well as learn to play at sight. When the student is ready, the teacher will incorporate this part into the lessons.
An annual recital takes place at the end of the school year.
